because you’ve been laid off for months, living on unemployment benefits and then your apartment complex puts a sticker on your car giving you 10 days to have a current inspection, so you take it to a mechanic and you’re told it will cost over $800 to fix, money you don’t have at all, your parents are having their own financial problems, your credit cards are either closed or maxed out and you’re out of your ability to get any loans, you also don’t own the title to your car yet so you can’t get a title loan, can’t get a payday advance since you don’t have a job and don’t have anything to sell since you already sold all your furniture, valuables and anything electronic only aside from your computer and no relatives or friends to help you, what would you do? What would they do to your car realistically?
I would take mass transit if it was readily available in my city, but it isn’t. I would be so much happier if we had mass transit, then I wouldn’t have to deal with this mess.
Can I park it at a park nearby? Will it get towed there?
Do you have a job for me? Because I have been applying and interviewing for months and have nothing yet.

have it removed to another area off the property. in Ca., they have programs available to retire vehicles, but I don”t know where you are.
I would park the car and take mass transit, and work to make more money. When I was a kid, my MG would break and need a part that cost $30. I had to park it for 2 months, sometimes longer, to get the money, and learned to fix i myself. Many people go through this to this day.
Took it to a mechanic and i don,t have the money for the smog .It will not pass smog. My credit is bad right now, so no funds to fix the car.
I think the apartment complex can have it towed and you don’t want that. Maybe you should move it to your parents or friend’s house temporarily. Eight hundred bucks is a good bit of money to most that you might ask for a loan, but you might consider spreading it out. Make a list of all your friends and family that might loan you a smaller amount and tell them your situation and that other friends and family members will help but everyone needs to in order for it to add up to the amount you need. This will make it easier for everyone and they may even feel somewhat obligated knowing others they know are helping out. Remember that if this works it will only work once if you don’t show appreciation and responsibility and pay it back within a reasonable amount of time. Hope you get it worked out.
Get A Job Then!
If the brakes are bad or the tires are bad, don’t drive it. There are other people on the road that are at risk. Sell the car to a junk yard and buy a bike. OR, save up. Don’t go to a ghetto shop, yes they will fix your problem temporarily. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Personaly, I would save up, and get a job at Walmart or something, there’s no reason you can’t have a job. Walmart or McDonalds suck to work for, but it’s better then sitting at home all day crying that you have no money. ALSO, you can still collect unemployment depending on how much you work. If you can trust a friend that can do the work for you, you could go with that. VERY risky however, they can’t warranty what they do to your car if anything gooes wrong.
i feel for you ! there are lots of people in the same boat. what you should have done was get the parts you need from the junk yard and have someone put them on for you.
